Is it permissible to dedicate the reward of good deeds other than charity, such as assistance, to the deceased?

The reward for righteous deeds, whether financial or physical, reaches the deceased. This is the preponderant and fatwa-given opinion. Ibn Taymiyyah stipulated that the reward for financial acts of worship reaches the deceased without dispute among the scholars of the Sunnah and the community, such as charity, manumission, supplication, and seeking forgiveness. He also stated that the correct view is that the reward for physical deeds, such as fasting, prayer, and recitation, also reaches them. Thus, the deceased benefits from everything that reaches them from any Muslim, whether a relative or not.
