The marriage of a Muslim woman to a disbeliever is forbidden by consensus, based on the words of Allah Almighty: "And do not marry polytheists until they believe" and "Neither are they lawful [wives] for them, nor are those [disbelievers] lawful [husbands] for them." This marriage is void, and her family must separate them and discipline her if she deems it permissible. She must repent and seek forgiveness. If she cannot return to her senses, her guardian must remove her from the lands of disbelief where the man's guardianship and the authority of the Sharia are weakened, and prevent her from traveling, except out of dire necessity, while focusing on educating the children and protecting them from the morals of disbelievers.
