Is it permissible to emigrate to another city to avoid remembering sodomy and people's taunts, while staying away from family and visiting them occasionally?

Congratulations on the blessing of repentance, along with advice to be keen on beneficial knowledge, righteous deeds, and good companionship. Emigration (Hijra) is permissible if there is fear of returning to sin in the current place and safety is available in another country, provided the family commits to communication and visits. It is recommended to hasten to marriage for protection from temptation. And whoever attempts to tarnish the reputation of a repentant person should be reminded of Allah and the gravity of their action.
