If your work is limited to permissible matters, such as advertising for permissible software, then the wage is lawful. However, if it involves assisting in a forbidden act, such as advertising for usurious banks, then the work and the wage become unlawful to the extent of engaging in the forbidden act, due to Allah's saying: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression."
