What is the ruling on taking money from my boss at work, knowing that it comes to him as a commission from companies whose amount and source I do not know?
The company director who receives a commission falls into three categories:
1. If the commission is personal to him and not for the company, then he has the right to dispose of it as he wishes, provided it does not disrupt his work or affect the company's accounts. 2. If the commission is for the company and not for him personally, then he is not permitted to dispose of it except with the company's permission or if it falls within his authority. 3. If the commission is designated for employees to distribute.
Accordingly, gifts from the director can be accepted in the first case, provided there is no disruption of work or preferential treatment of clients at the company's expense. In the second case, they can be accepted if the company permits it or if it falls within his authority. In the third case, they can be accepted, and the matter is clear.
