If the heirs are limited to the father, mother, wife, daughters, and a son, only these individuals inherit. Siblings do not inherit as they are excluded by the son and the father. The wife receives one-eighth (1/8), and the father and mother each receive one-sixth (1/6). The remainder goes to the son and daughters by way of ta'sib (residuary heirship), with the male receiving the share of two females. The estate is divided into 120 shares: the mother and father each receive 20 shares, the wife receives 15 shares, the son receives 26 shares, and each daughter receives 13 shares. The shares of the father and mother are then distributed among their own heirs. It is permissible for some adult, mature heirs to relinquish their share.
