Is it possible to attain God's pleasure and Paradise without the mother's forgiveness and contentment, in the event that the relationship between them is not rectified?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

The mother's right is immense, and showing her kindness and obedience in what is good is among the most emphasized obligations. Disobeying her is among the greatest major sins. Allah has commanded us to address parents with respect, appreciation, and humility. If the mother remains angry with her child and he persists in disobeying her, he is in grave danger, and a severe warning has been issued against those who disobey their parents. Therefore, the son must repent to Allah and apologize to his mother for any offense. He should seek expiation for his oath if he swore not to apologize; if he swore twice, he owes two expiations, and if he swore once, he owes one expiation. If he repents, apologizes, and treats her well, his repentance will be accepted, Allah willing.
