What is the interpretation of the two noble verses: "that I shall surely fill Hell with jinn and humankind all together" and "On the Day We will say to Hell, 'Have you been filled?' And it will say, 'Are there any more?'" to refute those who argue that Allah Almighty is intent on tormenting His servants and that they have no power or strength?

The torment mentioned in the noble verses is specific to disbelievers and perpetrators of major sins, not to believers.

Allah's saying: "He said, 'Get out of it, disgraced and expelled. As for whoever follows you among them, I will surely fill Hell with you all,'" means that Allah will fill Hell with Iblis and his offspring, and with the disbelievers among the children of Adam who follow Iblis.

And Allah's saying: "And if your Lord had willed, He could have made mankind one nation; but they will not cease to differ Except those on whom your Lord has bestowed mercy; and for that He created them. And the word of your Lord has been fulfilled: 'I will surely fill Hell with jinn and mankind all together,'" clarifies that it is Allah's will and wisdom that has caused people to differ, and that His judgment, glory be to Him, is to fill Hell with jinn and mankind.

As for Allah's saying: "On the Day We will say to Hell, 'Have you been filled?' and it will say, 'Are there any more?'" its meaning is that Hell will continue to ask for more until Allah places His Foot in it, whereupon it will say, "Enough, enough!" indicating its fullness.

A Muslim must submit to Allah's judgment, justice, and wisdom, and not object to His decree and destiny.
