Is it better to postpone the wedding until the husband is settled in a suitable job, or is setting a wedding date while relying on Allah the correct approach, knowing that the husband fears he may not be able to provide her with the same standard of living?

If a young man is able to bear the costs of marriage, he should not delay marriage due to fear of job instability; because provision is in the hands of Allah, and marriage is a means of provision. Lifespans are limited, and a Muslim does not know what may befall him, as Ibn Qudamah said. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, married a man who found nothing but an iron ring. It is advised to avoid extravagance, showing off, and reprehensible acts at weddings such as intermingling (of sexes) and music.
