The door of repentance is open to the servant if he repents sincerely to Allah, as numerous Quranic verses indicate Allah's acceptance of His servants' repentance and His forgiveness of sins, such as His saying, the Most High: "And it is He who accepts repentance from His servants and pardons sins." Repentance is accepted even if the penitent is unable to commit sins at the time of repentance, and one of its conditions is seeking forgiveness from the human being whose apparent right was violated. It is also recommended to frequently seek Allah's forgiveness, due to its virtues in effacing sins and increasing strength. Allah has indeed promised those who seek His forgiveness this, in His saying: "Seek forgiveness from your Lord and then repent to Him. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continual] showers and add strength to your strength." Seeking forgiveness is a remedy for sins, and it is desirable to frequently engage in it at all times and in all places.
