The answer

Committing zina (fornication/adultery) is a grave error and a tremendous sin. Allah the Almighty has forbidden it, saying: "And do not approach unlawful sexual intercourse. Indeed, it is ever an indecency and is evil as a way" (Quran 17:32). And a fornicator does not commit zina while he is a believer. The feeling of distress is the beginning of the impact of the sin, for whoever turns away from the remembrance of Allah, for him is a life of hardship. One must hasten to sincere repentance by feeling remorse, immediately ceasing the sin, and resolving not to return to it, for the one who repents from a sin is like one who has no sin, and Allah will reward him with forgiveness if he is sincere in his repentance. One must also hasten to marry to protect oneself and to suffice oneself with the lawful instead of the unlawful.
