Was a person's objection to Salman al-Farisi being described as "al-Khorasani" valid, taking into account the poetic verse: "Abu Lahab is in the Fire, though he is a son of Hashim, and Salman is in Paradise, though he is from Khorasan"?

Salman al-Farsi — may Allah be pleased with him — was from Persia, specifically from the village of "Jay" in Isfahan, as he himself stated. Al-Albani graded this hadith as hasan. The fact that he became "the son of Islam" does not contradict his Persian lineage, for he was "the first of the Persians to embrace Islam." He was a great companion who served the Prophet, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, and was characterized by wisdom, rationality, and devotion.
