Should a woman whose marriage has been delayed because she seeks certain moral qualities in a man continue to be patient with this delay, or is it better not to be patient and consider it, so that her patience is not in vain if she is not blessed with marriage at all, especially since marriage is a provision that not all people are granted?
One should hasten to marry when possible, for it is good, and Allah has commanded us to be swift in it. Lifespans are limited, and the misfortunes of time are many. A woman should not be overly strict in her descriptions of a husband; rather, she should aim for what is reasonable and choose the best she finds among those who are spoken of well. Then, she should entrust her affair to Allah and perform Istikhara after consultation. Marriage is a provision (rizq). If it is delayed after effort has been expended, then the Muslim woman must be patient, for its outcome is good in this world and the Hereafter.
