Is the manner of sitting for the tashahhud in the Witr prayer like that of a four- or three-rak'ah prayer, or like that of a two-rak'ah prayer?

"Iftirash" (sitting with the left foot tucked under the right thigh and the right foot upright) is sunnah for the sitting in Witr prayer, two-rak'ah prayers, and the first tashahhud in four-rak'ah and three-rak'ah prayers. "Tawarruk" (sitting with the left thigh on the ground, both feet protruding from the right side, and the right foot upright) is sunnah for the final tashahhud in four-rak'ah or three-rak'ah prayers. This is the view of most scholars.

Some scholars, such as Imam Malik, hold the view that tawarruk is recommended in all sittings of the prayer.

All these postures are recommended, so however the worshiper sits, it is sufficient. However, the sunnah is tawarruk at the end of the prayer and iftirash in all other sittings. Based on this, the questioner can sit in Witr and other prayers however she wishes.
