Is there wisdom when God makes you fall in love with someone?

Love sickness is an illness, by Allah Almighty's decree. His wisdom in afflicting one with it is profound, whether it is understood or not. We have not found any specific statements from scholars regarding the wisdom behind this affliction, and there may not be much benefit in researching it. The most important thing is for a Muslim to recognize its seriousness, avoid the causes that lead to it, and seek a cure if they have been affected by it.
