Is walking to the mosque a condition for earning the reward of "going out" to it, or does riding also count? Does it include going out from places other than one's home, such as a factory? Do the virtues of walking apply to riding, by analogy, like measuring tire rotations by steps? And is there any mention in the hadiths of the virtue of riding animals to the mosque?

The hadith (definition) reported by Abu Umamah, may Allah be pleased with him, stating that "Whoever leaves his house in a state of purity for an obligatory prayer, his reward is like that of a pilgrim in ihram (definition)" has been authenticated and deemed good by a number of scholars. The word "khraja" (خرج) in the hadith is interpreted as walking, due to other hadiths that mention the virtue of walking to prayer, and because this interpretation aligns with what has been reported regarding the encouragement to walk to mosques. Moreover, riding cannot be equated with walking in terms of reward, as walking involves extra effort and action. As for the mention of "house" in the hadith, it represents the usual situation of people, and the ruling includes anyone who intends to pray from their workplace or temporary residence, as Islamic rulings do not differentiate between those who are alike.
