Could I please have a small brief about Abdullah ibn Umar ibn al-Khattab?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Abdullah ibn Umar ibn Al-Khattab, Abu Abd Al-Rahman Al-Qurashi Al-Adawi, embraced Islam when he was young and migrated with his father before reaching puberty. He was deemed too young on the day of Uhud, and his first battle was Al-Khandaq (the Trench). He was among those who pledged allegiance under the tree. He narrated a great deal of knowledge from the Prophet (peace be upon him) and from senior Companions. A group of Tabiun (successors) narrated from him, including his freed slave, Nafi.
