What is the ruling on the supplication that begins with "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hour of evil" and includes various supplications and remembrances, and ends with a request to disseminate it to remind people of the remembrance of Allah?

A Muslim must adhere to the supplications (Du'as) established in the Qur'an and Sunnah. Regarding the supplication mentioned: "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hour of evil, the day of evil, the night of evil, the evil friend, and the evil neighbor," part of it is ورد in the Sunnah, while some parts have no basis, such as seeking refuge from iron and the road. Also, the phrase "I have fortified myself and all my family with the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsisting" has no known equivalent in the Sunnah.

Mentioning people with Tasbih (glorification of Allah), Tahmid (praising Allah), and Tahlil (declaring that there is no god but Allah) is desirable, but without specifying a certain number or a certain time. Therefore, one should not preoccupy themselves with the aforementioned supplication or propagate it. Instead, one should adhere to the শরعية (legitimate) supplications, which are greater in blessing and more hopeful in reward.
