It is permissible for a woman to be treated by a male doctor when a female doctor is unavailable, or when her condition cannot tolerate delay. However, if a female doctor is available, or if her condition can tolerate delay, then it is not permissible. If only a non-Muslim female doctor or a Muslim male doctor is available, the non-Muslim female doctor is to be preferred, because her gaze and touch are less impactful. If no female doctor is available, and there is fear of the woman's demise or affliction, it is permissible for a man to treat her, provided he lowers his gaze except for the area of the ailment, because the gaze of one gender at the other is more serious. It is not permissible for your fiancée to be treated by a male doctor except in cases of extreme necessity.
