Is it permissible to change the date of birth in the passport to obtain a scholarship, knowing that most scholarships require the applicant's age not to exceed 25 years, and I am 27 years old, and I cannot complete my university education without this scholarship?

Changing the date of birth falls under the category of forbidden lying and forgery, due to Allah's saying: "So avoid the word of falsehood," as it describes something contrary to its true nature. The need for a grant does not permit this act; rather, one must be forthright with the responsible party and be content with what Allah decrees, for whoever gives up something for the sake of Allah, Allah will compensate him with something better.
