Is repentance possible after committing major sins such as fornication and forcing a woman to abort? Are the atheistic thoughts accompanying the attempt to repent evidence of its unacceptability? What is the way to overcome this painful psychological state?

The door to repentance is open to every person as long as the sun has not risen from the West or death is witnessed. Allah loves repentance and accepts it, and He transforms evil deeds into good deeds for the sincere penitent. The penitent must follow up his evil deeds with effacing good deeds, and his repentance must be sincere and encompass the conditions for acceptance: remorse, abandonment of sins, determination not to return to them, and restitution of injustices. As for abortion, it is forbidden even before the insufflation of the soul. Regarding atheistic thoughts, it is recommended to seek refuge in Allah and to emigrate to a Muslim country if possible.
