Does smoking affect all other good deeds, and is it a criterion for evaluating people?

Smoking is forbidden (haram) due to its harm to the body, its annoyance to the companion, and its potential to lead to the smoker's death. This is in addition to it being among the impure things (khaba'ith) and its waste of money. Smoking does not invalidate good deeds because it is not an act of disbelief (kufr) but rather a sin. The smoker is considered among the dissolute (fusooq), whose fate is subject to Allah's will if they do not repent.
