Which is better and carries greater reward and recompense: completing the recitation of the Qur’an in three days with little remembrance (dhikr), or completing it in four days with much remembrance?

Reciting the Quran is one of the best forms of remembrance (dhikr) overall, except during times when the Sunnah (definition) has specified certain forms of remembrance, such as during bowing (rukūʿ) and prostration (sujūd). It was narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that the Quran is the best speech after the Quran, and that the superiority of the Quran over all other speech is like the superiority of Allah over His creation. Some of the Salaf believed that reciting the Quran is better than jihad and spending in the way of Allah. However, the forms of remembrance that are authentically reported for specific times or situations are better at their designated time. Therefore, reciting the Quran offers the greatest reward and recompense in all circumstances and at all times, except in those circumstances and at those times that have been specifically designated for a particular form of remembrance.
