How is inheritance divided among a mother, a wife, two sons, and three daughters?

If the deceased has no heirs other than the wife, mother, two sons, and three daughters, then the wife receives one-eighth, the mother one-sixth, and the remainder goes to the children by way of ta’sib (agnatic inheritance), with the male receiving the share of two females. The inheritance is divided into 168 shares: the mother receives 28 shares, the wife 21 shares, each male 34 shares, and each female 17 shares. Debts must be settled and wills executed before the estate is distributed. It is advisable to present the matter to the Sharia courts.
