How should one act if the father and brothers repeatedly ask to be visited on Eid, while the children and wife wish to stay home, knowing that there are disagreements between the wife and the father?

"Filial piety is among the most emphasized acts of nearness to Allah, and Allah has coupled it with His worship. Being kind to one's wife and caring for one's children are also acts of obedience. If fulfilling your father's request grieves your wife and children, and visiting them grieves your father, then it is preferable to alternate visits. Wisdom must be exercised, and a balance struck between various interests. If it is impossible to combine them, then one should consider which is the highest and most obligatory."
