What is meant by the saying of Abd al-Rahman al-Dakhil, "Indeed, this is in a place of the heart and the eye"?

Summary of the Fatwa:

Shihab al-Din Ahmad al-Maqqari al-Tilimsani mentioned in his book "Nafh al-Tib" that a beautiful slave girl was gifted to Abd al-Rahman al-Dakhil, and she pleased him. However, he returned her, saying: "This [girl] holds a significant place in the heart and the eye. If I occupy myself with my pursuits and neglect her, I would be unjust to her. And if I occupy myself with her and neglect my pursuits, I would be unjust to my ambition. I have no need for her now." This demonstrates his lofty aspiration, as he chose to attain noble matters and avoided being preoccupied with her, lest he be unjust to her or neglect his duties as a ruler.
