The son who died before his father does not inherit from his father's estate, nor does his daughter inherit if there is a surviving son. The remainder is distributed among the sons and daughters by ta'sib (residuary inheritance), with the male receiving the share of two females. The sons' children and daughters' children receive nothing if there is a surviving son. The estate is divided into 72 shares: the wife receives 9 shares, each son receives 14 shares, and each daughter receives 7 shares. However, if the son who died before his father was one of the aforementioned sons, the remainder after the wife's share is divided among only two sons and three daughters.
