The virtual money or currencies given by the game are not real money, and thus the rulings pertaining to real money, such as usury (riba) and zakat, do not apply to them. Rather, they are features and benefits within the game. The existence of these virtual currencies does not render the game unlawful. What is considered are the presence of other prohibited elements, such as images of unveiled women, music, disbelief-inducing beliefs, and deviant ideas.
