What is the ruling on selling virtual coins (currencies) in video games, and what should we do with the money earned from it if selling them is impermissible?

If the game is permissible, then it is permissible to sell and buy its additional features, such as "coins." A Muslim should utilize his time in what benefits him in this world and the Hereafter, because he will be held accountable for it on the Day of Judgment, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The feet of a servant will not move on the Day of Judgment until he is asked about his life and how he spent it."
