What is the ruling on saying, "So-and-so thinks he is a god in his faculty and has become arrogant," in his absence, if the word "god" is said in a foreign language and as an exaggeration without intending polytheism?

This phrase does not take its speaker out of Islam as long as he does not intend to attribute divinity to other than Allah, but rather his intention is to describe the person as arrogant and conceited. Backbiting is forbidden, and if the mentioned person is innocent of the described attribute, then that is slander.
