How is a woman washed if she dies while she is menstruating, in postpartum bleeding, or in a state of major ritual impurity (junub)?

If a Muslim dies while in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah), or a woman dies while menstruating (ha'id) or in postpartum bleeding (nifas), they are given a single ritual bath (ghusl). This is the view of the majority of scholars. If blood emerges from a menstruating woman or a woman in postpartum bleeding after her ritual bath and before her shrouding, it must be removed with water, but a re-bathing is not obligatory. This is because the deceased is no longer accountable for religious duties (taklif), and only the impure area is washed.
