Is the Unseen created by Allah Almighty?
The Unseen (Al-Ghaib) is everything that is hidden from the senses, and Allah has praised the believers in it. Exegetes (mufassirun) have differed in defining Al-Ghaib in the verse. Some said it refers to Allah Almighty, others said it refers to divine decree (qada') and destiny (qadar), and some said it refers to the Qur'an. Still others said it refers to everything the Messenger informed us about that cannot be comprehended by the intellect. These interpretations do not contradict each other, for Al-Ghaib encompasses belief in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, the Last Day, and divine decree, both its good and its evil. It also includes created beings such as angels, Paradise, and Hell, as well as the uncreated, which is Allah Almighty, His names, and His attributes. Allah Almighty is indeed unseen by vision in this world, and this makes Him Ghaib (Unseen) in this regard.
