Is it better to continue donating a small amount monthly to general charity centers, or to collect these donations and send them to help needy relatives in another country?

Charity given to a relative is superior, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Charity given to the poor is charity, and charity given to a relative is two: charity and kinship." Giving charity monthly from one's salary carries immense reward and is an initiative towards good; it is better than delaying charity until money accumulates. It is best to consider the condition of the recipient of the charity. If your relatives are in need, then giving charity to them is superior. If they are not in need, then taking the initiative to give charity is better than delaying it until money accumulates.
