How are 9 feddans of agricultural land divided among 3 sons, 3 daughters, and a granddaughter?

If there are no heirs other than the direct descendants of the deceased, then the estate is for his direct sons and daughters only. The granddaughter (daughter of a son) receives nothing due to the presence of the deceased's direct sons. The estate is divided into nine shares, with the male receiving two shares and the female one share, based on the Almighty's saying: "Allah instructs you concerning your children: for the male, what is equal to the share of two females." If the feddans are equal, then the male's share is two feddans and the female's is one feddan. The shares should be drawn by lot if they do not agree otherwise. If the feddans differ, they should be appraised and divided according to their value. It is desirable to give the granddaughter (daughter of a son) something from the estate at the time of division, based on the Almighty's saying: "And when [other] relatives and orphans and the needy are present at the time of division, then provide them [something] from it and speak to them words of appropriate kindness." Finally, matters of inheritance should be referred to the Sharia courts for investigation due to the potential existence of heirs, wills, or debts of which the heirs may not be aware.
