Is it permissible to deny a second marriage in court with the intention of reconciliation, when asked to testify about the husband's good treatment of his first wife?

It is not permissible to lie to the judge if the court's judgment is not unjust or contrary to Islamic law, because that would entail a forfeiture of the right of the wife who stipulated that he should not marry another. However, if the judgment would be issued with injustice to the husband, then it is permissible to conceal the matter and not disclose it, because equivocation (tawriya) is not permissible if it nullifies a deserved right. It is advisable to present the matter to trustworthy scholars in the country.
