How can I deal with relatives who are envious and malicious, especially since I cannot cut ties with them because they are family, and how can I accept the existence of evil in life in general?

Among the things that help a servant to be content with the hardships in this world is their knowledge that Allah the Almighty is Wise and Merciful, and that this world is a realm of trial and test, and that trial can be with good and evil, as Allah the Almighty says: "And We test you with evil and with good as a trial." Dealing with relatives should be with kindness towards them and having a good opinion of them. It is not permissible to accuse anyone of envy unless there is clear proof. Protection from envy is achieved by seeking refuge in Allah and relying upon Him, and by disregarding the thought of it and not preoccupying oneself with it, for that is among the most beneficial remedies.
