How should we deal with philosophy professors who "poison our minds and say what they do not do"?

One must differentiate between philosophy and the legacy of philosophers. Philosophy is the search for wisdom, whereas the legacy of philosophers is argumentation, delving into speculative theology (ilm al-kalam), and subjecting beliefs to the dictates of reason. Philosophers have deviated significantly in these beliefs. Therefore, whoever does not possess a firm foundation in Islamic legal knowledge must keep away from them to safeguard their faith.
