How can one be regular in prayer and get rid of bad habits when marriage is not possible?

The best remedy for the inability to marry is fasting, due to the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: “O young people! Whoever among you can afford to marry, let him do so, for it helps him lower his gaze and guard his chastity. And whoever cannot afford to marry, let him fast, for it will be a shield for him.” The noble verse: “And let those who find not [the means for] marriage keep themselves chaste until Allah enriches them from His bounty,” indicates that whoever abstains from what is forbidden, Allah will enrich him and ease his affairs.

Masturbation is forbidden, but abandoning prayer is disbelief. Therefore, one must maintain prayer on time and fast frequently, while being mindful of Allah’s constant watch. It is also recommended to strive for marriage, even if it requires borrowing money, because it is one of the strongest deterrents from these habits.
