Does the muezzin whose voice does not extend outside the mosque, such as in mosques in Western countries, receive the rewards mentioned by the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace?

Many hadiths have been narrated concerning thevirtues of theadhan, clarifying the greatness of its reward. Among them are that the mu'adhdhins (callers to prayer) will have the longest necks on the Day of Resurrection, and that anyone who hears the voice of the mu'adhdhin, whether jinn, human, or anything else, will bear witness for him on the Day of Resurrection. Also, the mu'adhdhin is forgiven as far as his voice reaches, and he receives a reward similar to that of everyone who prays with him. If the adhan (definition) is confined to inside the mosque, it is more likely that the virtue of witnessing for the mu'adhdhin regarding his adhan is related to hearing; so, everyone whose voice reaches them and who hears it will bear witness for him. However, whoever his voice does not reach and who does not hear it will not bear witness for him. This issue is one of probability and ijtihad (definition) (independent reasoning), and Allah Almighty may compensate the mu'adhdhin in those lands with something better.
