Does a Muslim remain a Muslim if his faith is incomplete, such as one who does not maintain purity despite the Prophet’s (PBUH) saying, "Purity is half of faith," or one who does not love for his brother what he loves for himself? And will one whose faith is incomplete enter Paradise with the impurity of his clothes, body, and home?

Faith consists of multiple branches, some of which, if lost, cause faith to cease to exist, such as the branch of bearing witness (Shahada), while others do not cause it to cease. Faith increases and decreases, as is the belief of the Ahl al-Sunnah. The hadiths that negate faith from the perpetrator of a sin do not negate its essence but rather negate its obligatory perfection, for faith has varying degrees. The people of faith who commit major sins will not abide eternally in Hellfire, for whoever has in their heart an atom's weight of faith will not enter Hellfire or will not abide therein eternally.
