Is a Muslim who believes he will eventually enter Paradise, even if he enters Hellfire, considered an infidel?

Whoever dies as a monotheist, yet was a person of disobedience, is under the will of Allah. If He wills, He will punish him then admit him to Paradise, and if He wills, He will forgive him and admit him to Paradise without punishment. No monotheist will abide eternally in Hellfire. Nevertheless, no one can guarantee for himself a good ending, for deeds are judged by their conclusions, and conclusions are the inheritance of precedents. The Salaf (pious predecessors) feared bad endings and hypocrisy, for the believer fears minor hypocrisy for himself, lest it overcome him and lead to major hypocrisy. Therefore, one must not feel secure from Allah’s plan, but rather should perform acts of obedience and anticipate His mercy. No one can be absolutely certain that they are among the people of Paradise; rather, their hope in Allah, their trust in Him, and their good opinion of Him become stronger, and this is not considered disbelief.
