Can a teacher of a non-religious subject allocate extra marks for memorizing the Qur’an?

If the school regulations stipulate that students' grades should be limited to their academic achievement and activities, then it is not permissible for the teacher to award grades for memorizing the Quran. However, if the regulations allow for allocating grades for behavior and ethics, then there is no objection to awarding grades for memorizing the Quran, and this would be a righteous deed.
