If a person dies leaving behind a wife, daughters, and full siblings, then after preparing the body, settling debts, and fulfilling bequests, their estate is distributed as follows: The wife receives one-eighth due to the presence of a lineal descendant. The daughters receive two-thirds due to their plurality. The remaining portion is taken by the full siblings by ta’sib (agnatic inheritance), with the male receiving the share of two females. Half-siblings through the father or mother receive nothing in the presence of full siblings and lineal descendants. It is advisable to consult the Sharia (definition) courts regarding matters of inheritance.
