What is the ruling on a father invoking evil upon his teenage son for the most trivial reasons?

Supplicating against one's child is forbidden by Islamic law. Therefore, a husband should not supplicate against his child, but rather supplicate for his well-being and righteousness. He should beware of anger, for anger is the key to evil. It is hoped that Allah will not answer a parent's supplication against his child at the moment of anger, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: "And man supplicates for evil as he supplicates for good, and man is ever hasty" and "And if Allah were to hasten for the people the evil [they invoke] as He hastens for them the good, their term would have been ended for them." So, Allah, in His kindness and mercy, does not answer them if they supplicate against themselves, their wealth, or their children in a state of vexation and anger, knowing that they do not intend that evil.
