Is sodomy for men only, or for both men and women, and is the execution of the Hadd required for a penitent woman for her repentance to be accepted?

Sodomy is the penetration of a male in his anus, and it is among the grave sins, abominations, and a perversion of nature. Its perpetrator deserves punishment and disgrace. Included in its category is anal intercourse with a woman, which is called "minor sodomy." As for sexual activity between two women, it is called tribadism (sihāq), and it is forbidden by scholarly consensus. Whoever has committed sodomy or any other abomination must repent to Allah by abandoning the sin, regretting it, and resolving not to return to it. It is recommended that one conceal their sin and not inform anyone.
