Is it permissible for a husband to marry his mother-in-law after the death of his wife?

It is not permissible for a man to marry his wife's mother after divorcing her daughter or after her death, because she is permanently forbidden to him the moment he contracts marriage with her daughter, as Allah Almighty says: "and your wives' mothers."
