Did Salman al-Farsi marry, considering that someone called him Abu Abdullah?

Salman al-Farsi, whose kunya was "Abu Abdullah," married a woman from the Kinda tribe. It is not mentioned that he had a son named "Abdullah"; rather, he had three daughters. It is permissible for a man or a woman to be given a kunya even if they do not have children, or if they do not have a child with the name by which they are given a kunya. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, gave Aisha the kunya "Umm Abdullah" (your son Abdullah), and he gave the younger brother of Anas ibn Malik the kunya "Abu Umair."
