What is the ruling on using the words: "لعمرك" (by your life) meaning "say to yourself," and "تقول" (you say) meaning "you do," and "تلقي" (you cast) meaning "you do" or "you make"?

The statement of a person, "Say, by your life" (قل لعمرك), is permissible if it means "Say to yourself" (قل لنفسك). Expressing an action through speech (القول) is permissible and has been narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. As for the word "talqi" (تلقي), it is permissible if its meaning is "you equalize" (تسوي), as there is no harm in colloquial expressions that convey the intended meaning and do not offend anyone.
