Pork is impure and forbidden. Transforming it into a powder does not change its ruling, so it is not permissible to benefit from it after grinding it. Converting a forbidden substance from its solid form to a liquid or powder does not change the ruling unless it undergoes a complete transformation into an entirely different substance. In such a case, the difference of opinion among jurists regarding transformation (istihalah) applies. If the factory processes pork until it completely transforms into another substance, then there is no harm in working there. However, if it does not transform into another substance, but merely converts it into a powder, then it is not permissible to work in that factory, nor is it permissible to mix that powder into food or agricultural industries.
