If the houris are the reward for men in Paradise, then what is the special bliss for women? And can a woman be the sole wife of her husband in Paradise? And why is there no Qur’anic text about a special bliss for women as there is for men? And will all men in Paradise have houris without exception? And if a woman prays to be the sole wife of her husband in Paradise, will Allah answer her? And why is jealousy removed from a woman’s heart while the love of women remains in a man’s heart?

It is more fitting for one who inquires about God's wisdom in the Hereafter to refer to the origin, which is the reason why God created creation in pairs and the reason for the disparities among them in this world. If the answer is submission to God's command and certainty in His justice and wisdom, then the same applies to the Hereafter. God's wisdom is too great for a person to comprehend fully.

There is no need to be preoccupied with the details of the blessings in Paradise; rather, one should be concerned with what brings a servant closer to it. A woman in Paradise will have one husband from among the people of this world and will not desire anyone else. The marriage of a man to the Houris (beautiful, wide-eyed maidens of Paradise) will not disturb her, for the hearts of the people of Paradise are one, with no disagreement among them. Sheikh Ibn Baz was asked about the wisdom behind promising men the Houris without mentioning women, and he replied that it is to motivate men to seek the Hereafter, and that women are followers of men and will have their share of goodness and high ranks in Paradise.
